Take a look at what we had tonight.

It is some hash browns with onions added, browned to a crisp golden perfection and of course tender.

After browning you have to top with mozzarella cheese and bake brown the cheese.

Toppings for this delicious set are cooked bacon, red onions, fresh tomatoes from the garden, and ranch dressing. yummy good folks

Isn't it lovely when you don't have a plan? We didn't have any idea when we would get to do our egg hunt for the grandkids. Well this dreary day turned into a sunny suppertime. The girls got their heads together and said, "now is the accepted time" ok, so kids must be dressed in a hurry, hair combed and slicked down in some cases and oh yeah, put a smile on your face while your at it. With that said, here they came . The much anticipated egg hunt was underway. By the way, the sunshine didn't last, however, the kids had a wonderful time. I think we created a few memories for the older two grandchildren. I think we all actually had some fun. I think it was cause it was all on the spur.

A tribute to Papaw

I'd like to take a moment and write a small tribute. My papaw Story went to heaven 30 years ago. I still miss him greatly, I think and speak of him often. He is immensely missed by many. He was a self educated, hard working, hard headed conservative. The school of hard times is where he learned most. He started his family at the beginning of the great depression. I can hear him now speaking about life and politics. I don't have to wonder what he'd say today about our present situation with our new president. He'd gasp at the signing of the largest pork barrel bill ever signed by any president..... wasting money on wasteful pet projects to help the economy?

Papaw would really laugh and say, " I reckon common sense is not so common anymore." Ha

How bout this? Cute eh? Addie has been wanting to get the gourds painted for a long time. With alittle help she got two of them finished.

This first one has to have little blacks seeds painted on the red part.

Both of them will get a coat of lacquer on them before hanging in the ourdoors. We have many

birds looking for homes right now. We are hoping the Carolina wrens choose at least one of them.

Red one was suppose to be a cherry for starts until Grammy got into the green leaves, now it just might be a tomato?

Weather is warm and very spring like, you guessed it, Gabby got a new do, she was a bit jealous of mamas haircut so I tore in to her mess of hair. I really don't know who looks worse, no, really, I believe she does. Please don't tell her that though. We had the grandchildren over today for lunch and it was good. We had some fun, but the time did fly by. The children were very good.

Love the warm fall weather we're having hopes it continues as I dread the winter coming.

Need a new kitchen floor

Guess what? You know how we needed a new floor for the kitchen? I really do now. Dad was cooking our supper when right away, he was going to make his to go plate. Well the burner he chose for his to go plate was still very hot. Well he must have realized it went to jerk it off the burner, when he did, the whole burner came out of socket onto the floor. I now have a swirl on the floor, yes, burnt into the floor. Could be cool if it were all over the vinyl floor. You know paint the swirls black on the white floor. I mean that, I would like. I did just get the vinyl flooring off the burner element which also had the tupperware burnt on it as well. That was a miracle in itself people.

Love the kitchen knobs. Since I couldn't change the rest of the hardware these glass knobs work. The vintage looking kitchen accepts them well. The knobs enhance the other accessories in the room. Next will be the chandelier( A little glitz is needed)

Addie received many gifts, American girl dolls were her theme, she asks for the Kit doll, so......

Kit,aka, Jenny, came to surprise Addie . Addie loved it. We all did too. So added to the party.

Addison turned 5 yesterday, I know, it is hard to believe. It has been a wonderful 5 years. She is one of those that make the grand in grandchildren surreal. Addie was born with an exceptional personality. I suppose she is a combination of all her aunts and her mother. Anyone that knows

I got some very nice presents yesterday for my birthday. As you can see, they are sooooo me.

I love all my gifts. Some were things I wanted, some were things I needed, some were things I collect, however, all are very much appreciated. My party had a fiesta theme. Allen and all the girls went to great lengths to make this party happen. We had wonderful food, music, decorations, and special guests. This was all family and I love & appreciate them dearly. I thank all of you for making me feel very special.

To let everyone know how much my girls are alike most often two out of three daughters pick

out the same card. This year it was Jenny & April. So funny. They each did some identical underlining in the card as well. It can happen on just about any occasion a card is appropriate.

Gabby got a doggie stroller for our trip in October. I wanted to try it out on her. She isn't thrilled at all about it.

Miss Gabby is mad at me right now for giving her a much needed bath and a slight combing.

She looked scared and I wasn't really prepared w/like props or anything. So it is still ok to comment. She won't mind.

Labor Day Weekend

Well it's Labor day weekend. How did I know? I labored at work all day. For some it is laboring all day at work and for others it is family get togethers, while grilling, making ice cream, eating watermelon. Some get to go to the lake and have a fun day returning with their boat. Some take this 3 day weekend to spruce up the yard or home. Whatever you did today hope it was fun. Hope you didn't have to labor hard in whatever you chose to do.

Audrey was in a good mood, she was posing for us big time. She had her very own photographer there, Jenny. I can't wait to see her pictures. They will be great.
